May this May Day ignite some change…

Harshi Tandon (design professional from New Delhi), the winner of “Let’s Stage the Drama”, a Facebook contest that we’d come up with, gave us a very challenging theme to work on with.

After hours of wracking our brains we decided that what could be better than the less spoken and unseen special bond of Humanity.

May this "May Day" ignite some change…

On May Day, while we take out time from our busy corporate schedule and relish a leisurely holiday, Harshi gave an ideation concept which kick started the day very ironically differently.

We, the Polaroid Pages team, decided to pay a visit to Sumangali Seva Ashrama, a warm and pleasant abode for orphans and underprivileged girls.

The genuine zest and affection that every single girl exhibited left us with a smile that remained all day long and it did make us realize that there is still so much love around us and yet we, more often than not, crib about the absence of it.

All that is needed is a little bit of sanguinity and a little bit of conveyance.

Smack on the face!

Have you noticed a sudden inclination of movies towards mafia-like subjects? Not that it wasn’t there. In fact some mafia protagonists turned out to become classic in the realm of motion pictures and have influenced the way a don should look. And not just don….

…. Also the double agents that make and break them.

Above is a collection of a few gangster movies. Black, white, black, red, black black black it is and suits and body-hugging dresses are the way to get the look right.

"Smack on the face!"

Sporting a bespoke suit and a red tie, Mr. Gambino, is immersed in a pool of thoughts as he has a long day ahead to sort a lot of things out. His brown aviators along with his black watch and derby shoes and not to forget those patterned socks add zing to his intense persona without disturbing the classic look of a gangster boss!  

Ronnie and Reggie, the boss’s puppet, abducted the mayor’s daughter, Alan. Blindfolded by a piece of white cloth and wearing a boyfriend fit white shirt, Alan is unaware of the fact that this is only the beginning of all her trouble.

The boss's right arm, Miss. Mia rarely takes her glance away from him, looking tough and elegant at the same time in her fitted black dress. The brown studded belt and red heels brings out her fearless facade.

But alas! She DITCHED him!

When rays of fresh spring sunlight falls on the ground streaking through trees and the already blooming floras blossoms even more the only thing you’d want to do is to savor every bit of that moment. Spring always comes with a flavor of fresher, cleaner, brighter and merrier ambiance and that is one good reason for you to go out there in the open and enjoy the most flamboyant season throughout the year.

 

Damsel in distress relishing her own quite time around the trees wearing a mille fleur cream dress with denim pleated details in the empire line and denim panels in placket, neckline and strap.

Sturdy country lad wearing a stone washed denim shirt over a stripped t-shirt teamed with his best pair of deep indigo high contrast sprayed denim pants. The brown boots and aviators go well with his devil-may-care attitude.

Carrying his old rustic metal trunk wearing a white water based pigment printed t-shirt teamed with suspenders and tattered dark denims and derby shoes, this groovy lad is all set to have a nostalgic time in the lake.
