Blast from the past !!!!

If anybody had any doubts about the fact that fashion repeats itself, well, we are here to clear the air. Yes, fashion is cyclical and no matter how much you try and revamp it, it’ll take you back to time, over and over again….

…like it took us back to the 60’s and 70’s this time.

Retro Fashion comes on and off in the forefront as we see a lot of those looks in the cover of fashion magazines and in collections of various brands. Elle, Louis Vuitton, Vogue US, Harper’s Bazaar, Grazia, Tumblr, London Evening Standard magazine.

Blast from the past!

Overly expressive faces, polka’s all over the place, walking was more of jumping and talking was more of singing- yes you guessed it right- RETRO, it is!

Those might be things of the past but that doesn’t mean they’ve completely vanished from the face of earth. At least, in the realm of fashion, they do pay a visit time and again, livening up the whole milieu with a blast from the past!

Always dreamy and busy blushing her cheeks, Margaret is wondering if her red headband is flattering her blue collar dress with white polka dots. She is convinced when she finds her matching red stilettos to team with the ensemble and there she is; ready to break a dozen hearts.

Robert doesn’t just think he is smart, he knows it and it’s not just his head that is always held up high; his bellbottoms never goes down the waist either, flashing his brown leather belt. The yellow polo shirt and green-white striped tie add all the punch to the whole look but it is his classic 60’s moustache that brings out the Robert inside of him. 

Smart and sassy, Johnny Davidson is always effortlessly cool. He hastily teamed his blue polka dot shirt with a white trouser and picked up a black and red layered bow tie, as he is late for his high school musical party. He adds that green and black checkered belt in the last minute to tote up a bit more color to his otherwise toned down look.

Rebellious Miss. Dorothy has a huge collection of records and is an avid fan of classic disco music. She is definitely not somebody to mess with which is quite evident from her appearance - bold jeans matched with striped t-shirt and those black boots definitely could beat the hell out of you. The only thing that’s a little mockery to her brash attitude is the cute polka bow clip in the head.

Office wear has always been considered tantamount to grays and blacks and suits and blazers but it’s about time to unanimously break the custom and pep-up the workplace!

You might be right at the top of the corporate ladder but do you really stand out?

Wearing a bespoke suit or carrying just the right case is not enough to say get-set-go. It’s time to go brash and bold with your office wear and shatter the dreary monochromes and pump out the brightness of the world into your workplace. Breaking the mundane and spicing up with either a dash of vibrant hues or playing around with handpicked exclusive accessories. After all who said office is solely and only for work?

A shout out to one and all who are in this delusion that office wear is indeed boring wear!

 

All set for the unending list of the day’s work wearing an indigo linen blazer over a quintessential white shirt paired with that garment which had, for a long time being denied from being considered a part of the business wear wardrobe - denim. This agile look is complete with navy blue knitted crochet tie, polka dot pocket square, black derby shoes and checkered socks.

To hell with files! I need some fuel to fire up! This dauntless lady looks smart in her black blazer over a blue tube top and denim. Her look is jazzed up with red shimmer belt and pump shoes and not to forget her big bold watch.

Who says you have to panic when piled up with work? Chat up with an ol’ friend instead. Wearing a white mandarin georgette shirt and gray pleated trouser, this impish lady spiced up her look with black and white brogues, blue satin waist tie and beaded neckpiece.

Do whatever you wanna do when your boss is not around! This dandy young man is all groovy from top to toe wearing a hot pink shirt and a navy blue pleated trouser accessorized with his white dobby tie carelessly tucked inside the shirt and brown derby shoes. But that doesn’t really mean he can’t attend a conference in that very same look!

Here’s a sequel to the look that was playful and cherry, we continue the trend of pairing bold and bright colors, however this time as add ons which people like to sport to give an edge to their regular outfit.

Brands like Rayban, Burberry and Prada have shown an obvious inclination towards a vibrant range of accessories from glares and bags to even umbrellas. 

Wanna turn a smiling kid grumpy and cranky? Try taking his favorite toy away from him. Toys are kid’s favorite ally and they are extremely possessive about especially their most preferred piece. This has been the fundamental inspiration for our story this time which shows a swing on our area of focus away from apparels.

The way kids are grabby about their toys grownups have been shown reacting in the same manner for their accessories. But the irony here is it is the kids who are amused at how callowly grown-ups react at the slight hint of attack at their most favorite piece!!!
